This course seeks to provide those seeking employment or staff working in the equine sector the opportunity to gain a recognised higher level qualification. Developed in consultation with the equine industry the course provides up to date theories and principles relevant to equine science and business management practices. Whilst this course has practical elements, it does not develop practical competencies but can support participants with and without practical experience. Education Programmes for Industry
CAFRE’s Equine Business Support team runs regular education programmes for industry to assist the development of a competitive equine industry by enhancing the capabilities of those in the sector.
The training and professional development courses available include:
· Online Courses in horse care and management (Level 2 and Level 3 accredited options), parasite management, horse handling and behavior and grassland management.
· Horse racing and equitation simulator training with state of the art equine simulators.
· Farriery training including a Level 2 Certificate in Forgework and Farriery Upskilling Programme.
Peer learning and business development programmes including a structured Equine Business Peer Learning Group (PLG) and an accredited Level 3 Award in Business Management for the Environment and Land-based Sector.
