The Workplace Relations Commission have notified AIRE that they will be undertaking inspections and making associated enquiries in the equestrian sector this year, with a view to determining and achieving compliance with employment rights and employment permits legislation.
WRC Inspectors are required to identify themselves and produce their warrant of appointment to the employer or their representative and explain the nature/purpose of their visit together with the legislative basis upon which they are acting. They will be undertaking both announced and unannounced inspections for the purposes of determining compliance with legislation. Full details of their requirements has been emailed to AIRE members.
Peninsula Group Ltd will speak at the AIRE AGM in Warrington Equestrian Centre, Kilkenny on Monday 20th March. Their brief will be “Protecting your business against employment and safety litigation” .
