Lough Gara Stables

Lough Gara Riding Stables offer horse riding and other country pursuits in a tranquil, peaceful location on the shores of Lough Gara five miles from Boyle in County Sligo, Ireland. We offer Horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, archery, falconry, Air rifle Shooting ,Air Soft Shooting, We also have an Assault Course and a pets corner.
We offer activities to suit everyone from young children and teenagers to adults and we run tailor made events for corporate team building, school tours, family get togethers, birthday parties, pony clubs, riding clubs, scouts and girl guides and stag and hen parties.
The Center is run by husband and wife, Adrien and Jimmy Kneale. Adrien's passion is classical dressage and teaching people to ride in true harmony. Jimmy shoots for the Irish National Skeet team, he won a silver medal for Ireland in the world championships in 2009, is an experienced Falconer and a lover of all country sports and nature.
Lough Gara stables is fully approved by AIRE (Association of Irish Riding Establishments).
We offer horse riding lessons for all ages and experience levels. Our horses include well schooled dressage schoolmasters for the more advanced riders and quiet horses and ponies for novices.
Have a lesson in our roofed arena, Experience true harmony getting the feel of the dressage movements, go for a gallop in the meadows jumping our small natural jumps and ditches or simply hack by the lake taking in the scenery and watching the wildlife.

Island View Riding Stables

Island View Riding Stables offer a range of riding holidays in a beautifully scenic setting in Grange, County Sligo. The horse riding holiday farm is nestled between Benbulben Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
The stables offer residential holidays for individuals, families and small groups.
It’s all about the client and their chosen horse. After getting to know your horse in the outdoor arena, you can trek across sandy beaches and rugged moorlands.  All riding is guided and tailored to your ability.

Island View Riding Stables offer bespoke riding holidays for experienced riders to explore the tidal islands off the Sligo coastline. Guests will ride along vast unspoilt beaches, ancient bog lands and sheer rocky cliffs. Together with an experienced guide, splash through the crashing Atlantic Ocean and make your way to the stable's privately owned island.
The Atlantic Trailweek is a six night  full-on equestrian adventure for advanced riders only. You ride between 4 and 6 hours and explore a different facet of magnificent Sligo scenery every day.   Lunch will be in a pub, a café or a picnic out of your saddle bags in the great outdoors.

The Mix and Match week is a 6-night stay with 15 hours riding in total.  It leaves time for sightseeing and to explore other activities and scenic places in the area.  Suitable for all levels of riders.  Beginners can brush up on their skills in a lesson or take a leisurely stroll in the countryside surrounding the stables, advanced riders can go for a fresh canter.

Equestrian escapes start from a two night short break with 5 or 8 hours horse riding over the 2 night stay. The 5 hour package is suitable for more novice riders. Happy home bred horses are ready to take riders on a memorable equestrian escape.

Annaharvey Farm

Annaharvey Farm has been home to the Deverell Family for 5 generations & is a busy and exciting place to visit. We offer training in jumping. flat work & X country riding, and welcome visitors on both a residential & non residential basis. Accommodation is in the old restored grain barn which is very comfortable & cosy and visitors quickly make themselves at home, wandering in & out of the kitchen for tea or coffee and one of Lynda's homemade cookies!
The riding instruction is excellent with BHS qualified instructors who are good at their job & know how to get the rider to go that little bit extra to improve their skills without making them feel uncomfortable - we are also very keen to maintain the element of fun which is so important when riders are on holiday.

The facilities comprise an indoor and outdoor arena, lunging ring, gallops, xcountry course from novice to advanced level, & general hacking /trekking around the 400 acre farm.
New for this year are the Sunday morning rides 10.30-12.00 Happy Hacking 12.00 -1.30 Xcountry Ride and we are also running an Event Training Weekend for adults (see web site for details) also a "Training for Eventing" summer camp for young people along with the regular Children's Summer Camps

Livery is also available on a "Full livery" basis with clients having use of all the facilities when available and we have horses suitable for leasing for those who don't want the long term committment of buying their own.

Regular Equestrian events are held in Annaharvey from Hunter Trials, IHTS events, Pony Club Events, Connemara shows, and an indoor league in spring & autumn.
The Xcountry course is available for schooling.
For the non horsey visitor there are painting weekends, cookery classes, super walks around the farm & nearby Slieve Bloom Mts. golf, fishing & cycling.
The Tack Shop at Annaharvey will supply all your equestrian requirements from whips to hats, boots, saddles, bridles, and of course Annaharvey Farm tee shitrs, polo shitrs, sweat shirts etc. & we have a personalised embroidery service available.

Annaharvey Farm is approx 1/50 hrs from Dublin or Galway & is very easily accessed now by the opening of the new motorway to Galway (M4/6) and Tullamore is a busy market town with lots of good pubs & restaurants - it is also famous for our lovely whiskey - Tullamore Dew!

Moy Riding Centre

You've heard about us...now read more!!

We are an enthusiastic family run Riding School, whose main aims are fun, safety and education. We run a childrens open day every Saturday from 9am - 5pm. All our staff have BHS qualifications and occupational first aid. Come and enjoy our friendly atmosphere where the ponies and children take over!! Every Sunday, hail rain or snow we run a show-jumping competition with BBQ, tea, coffee and home baked nibbles. This summer we will run a number of pony camps where the children will work towards the National AIRE exams.

Moy Riding Club affiliated to AIRC was founded in January 2008. At present we have 40 members all over the age of 17years. We hold numerous competitions, training days and social events. We compete countrywide at AIRC opperated events. We have also hosted a Le Trec day which was very successful. We give adult lessons Monday - Friday under the direct supervision of our chief instructer Michael Fox. Grace Fox is also available for any schooling of troublesome ponies and excels in private childrens lessons. All in all we endeavour to cover all aspects of recreational equestrian activities.

Kells Equestrian Centre

Standing on 10 acres of land in the heart of Meath and with access to a further 150 acres, Kells Equestrian Centre accommodates competitive and pleasure riding with indoor and outdoor facilities.

We are at the centre of hunting territory, close to five first rate packs and their associated Pony Clubs.  For a more leisurely ride there are hacks along quiet country roads in this heritage-rich area.

Barnacarroll Equestrian Centre

We would like to welcome you to Barnacarroll Equestrian Centre which is a New Equestrian Centre and family run, situated just 5 minutes off the N17 between Knock and Claremorris, Co. Mayo.

We cater for all levels of experience from the beginner to the advanced rider, with horses and ponies to suit all levels of experience.

There are two outdoor arenas and one 180f tX 200ft indoor arena, capable of holding an International Show with a full course of jumps.  The indoor arena can be rented throughout the week.

We offer breaking, schooling, preparation for sales and competitions and general handling of all horses and ponies in our new livery yard.  During the school holidays we run 'Pony Camp' for children from ages 6-16 years of all levels of ability. 

We hold training shows most weekends, with the intention of starting a 'Winter League' in the New Year. Our 'Riding Club' will be established in the New Year also.    We are open all year round, providing both group and private lessons.  The minimum age we cater for is 6 years and we also cater for Disabled Riding.  As we are situated in a very quiet area we provide trekking throughout the countryside, by a Deer Farm, with the view of 'Crough Patrick' and on quiet country lanes.

On site there is a cottage with 4 star Bord Failte approval which is available for renting all year round.

Teagasc Kildalton College

Kildalton College is situated in the village of Piltown, Co. Kilkenny in the picturesque Suir valley.  It is located on the main Waterford to Limerick road, approximately 8km from Carrick-on-Suir and 20k from Waterford city.  Kildalton is the largest agricultural college in the country.  It is a leading provider of training in Equine Studies, Machinery, Agriculture and Horticulture.   Students attending Kildalton College get the opportunity to learn in a practical supportive environment.  Our practical experience programme provides valuable work experience as part of your overall training.
Kildalton College offers Q.Q.I. Level 5 and Level 6 courses in Horsemanship Equitation and Stud Management.  Application forms and course details are available from Kildalton College.
As Kildalton College is a BHS approved training and exam centre, it is not unusual for Level 6 Horsemanship students to leave with their BHSAI including Occupational First Aid and Child Protection certificates.
Students on the Stud Management course learn all key breaking skills.  Their course is also very practical and includes work placement on studs such as Ballylinch. Vinesgrove and Carriganog Stud.

Blackberry Stables

Blackberry Stables is located just 3 miles outside the town of Maynooth Co. Kildare, down a quiet cul-de-sac. We are within easy access of Kilcock, Leixlip, Celbridge and Dunboyne and we are only 40 mins from Dublin city centre.
Blackberry Stables is a small family run riding school specialising in individual and small (max 5) lessons. We cater for children from 3 years old and beginner adults to national eventing standard, the emphasis is on the quality of instruction. Our facilities include our new 50m x 40m all weather floodlit arena (built summer 2010). 20 acres of parkland provide the thrills of riding cross-country or a quiet nature trek down to the river. We also have access to woods nearby that can provide clients with natural jumps or a pleasant peaceful potter in nature.
All our instructors are qualified and have many years experience in eventing , dressage and show jumping.

Dymphna's Equestrian Centre

Dymphna's Equestrian Centre is situated in idyllic North County Dublin setting located within 5 minutes from Swords, 10 minutes from Ashbourne, 10 minutes from Dublin Airport and 25 minutes from Dublin City Centre.  We are an AIRE approved centre.

We provide top class qualified tuition for all riding levels from the nervous beginner to the experienced rider and cater for both children and adults.  We also run pony camps for children throughout the year , show jumping and cross country competitions and leagues.  We are a BHS exam training centre.

We also provide a livery service for both horses and ponies.  Livery includes use of all facilities, secure tack room, locker room, horse box parking, two covered livery yards, turn out, mucking out/ bedding, organic hay and GM free hard feed.

We provide any additional services such as clipping, worming, schooling, and farrier upon request. Livery owners taking a lesson group lesson on their own horse will be entitled to another free lesson on their own horse within the same week.

Facilities: Our facilities include two outdoor floodlit arenas, full set of show jumps, a lunge ring, cross country course , annual shows/leagues, quiet roads for hacking, close to local shows, qualified staff on the yard at all times and owner/manager living on site.

Oldtown Riding Stables

Calliaghstown is a Failte Ireland, AIRE and BHS approved riding centre and livery yard. We offer FAS training and training towards BHS exams. We also cater for school tours, birthday parties and offer international youth camps and pony camps during school breaks for the young enthusiasts.

We offer tailor made livery to suit you and your horse with coaching, schooling & breaking available on request.
