Eagle Rock Equestrian Centre

EAGLE ROCK EQUESTRIAN CENTRE is situated in Caherdaniel on the beautiful ring of Kerry (N70).

This picturesque little village stands on the shores of Derrynane Bay and is a haven for holiday makers.

Eagle Rock ia A.I.R.E. approved and facilitates rides for all standards. Tuition available from our qualified instructors. We can provide you with horses and ponies to suit all levels, whether you are starting from the basics or whether you wish to try something more adventurous.   For those with basic ridding experience there are beach and mountain treks in breathtaking surroundings.

Supported by the Department of Social Protection as a Community Service Programme, the Riding School provides an integrated working and learning environment to hundreds of people every year. It has developed a strong reputation for excellence in coaching, inclusion of children and young people with special needs through therapeutic riding and a place to have fun!. Horse Welfare plays a key role in Festina Lente Riding School.

Fitzgerald's Equestrian Centre

Fitzgerald's Equestrian Centre & Farmhouse Accommodation is an approved AIRE Equestrian Tourism Centre in West Limerick.

We offer a variety of riding packages. We have a beautiful trail and cross country course suitable for both the beginner and more advanced rider. Take in the paranomic views of the surrounding hills and the town of Abbeyfeale during your ride. We are also ideally suited as a base for touring Kerry, Limerick and Clare.

During the summer we offer Pony Camp, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Again this is suitable for all levels of riding, there is something to suit everyone.

We also have a lovely indoor arena for the days when the Irish weather is misbehaving!
During the winter months we also offer Drag Hunting Packages.

Working Holidays, Riding/English Language Holidays and Riding Holidays are all available at our centre.

Birthday Parties for children are also catered for here at Fitzgeralds, where we provide the cake, drinks, sweets and horse riding for groups.

Follyfoot Riding Farm

Follyfoot Riding Farm is located 6 miles north of the beautiful Kinsale town. We offer hourly and half hourly lessons in our outdoor arena for all levels. Our trekking is varied through the 100 acre tillage farm and we have a nice selection of steady traditional hairy Irish cobs.

We recommend booking in advance in order to avoid disappointment.Please note children must be 7 years or older to ride. Hats and boots supplied, also a selected range of back protectors for children.

Open all year round for lessons;              Trekking is confined to summer months;                   Pony camps Easter and summer;

Closed Sundays and Mondays;

Galway Equestrian Centre


Set in the beautiful countryside of Athenry, Peakroe Farm hosts the Galway Equestrian Centre. A family run initiative that embraces all that is great about the outdoor life.

Our unique location makes us an ideal choice being just a short journey from the Dublin-Galway motorway, Galway Airport and access routes throughout the west of Ireland.

Founded and run by Francis and Tomás O'Brien, the Galway Equestrian centre has quickly grown and expanded in all areas of equestrian learning, competition and riding lessons for all ages and abilities.

We have exceptional facilities, including both outdoor and indoor arenas. Over 25 trained horses and ponies, teaching aids and expert instructors, our horses and ponies are specially selected for their varying abilities from confidence giving cobs to competition thoroughbreds and are experienced, responsive and safe to ride.

Pioneers of the Equestrian Assisted Learning (EAL) technique, Galway Equestrian Centre have seen remarkable successes in children and adults coping with a wide variety of challenges. Research in EAL is a significant growth area and Galway are very proud of their involvement in this field.

Beginners of all ages gain access to a secure learning environment in which to build their confidence and their equestrian skills whilst having fun.

For the more experienced, Galway Equestrian Centre provides unrivalled facilities to hone the skills of both rider and horse. The arenas provide the ideal venue for showjumping and dressage whilst the 100+ acres at the centre offer a range of trekking and cross-country options designed to challenge and thrill.

Over the course of the year the centre runs a number pony camps aimed at younger riders and seasonal fun days. There is also weekly showjumping competitions and leagues across a range of grades.
