We offer scienic woodland rides through 3000 acres of forest, daytime, evening and weekend lessons, non residential camps for children and exam training. We are open all year round by appointment. Booking is essential. Our minimum age for children is 5 years.
How to find us - from Wexford take the R733 signposted for Arthurstown, 4.5km from the Duncannon road roundabout, turn right onto the L30191. Keep left at the fork at the stone bridge, left at the T-junction. We are on your left with a sign at our gate.

Slieve Aughty Riding Centre
Adjacent to more than 50 miles of forest trails and endless country lanes, Slieve Aughty Riding Centre offers some of the best trail riding in all of Ireland. Explore new landscapes every day on a week long trail holiday, or book a trek by the hour and spend a relaxing afternoon on a quiet, safe horse or pony. Find out why the Irish horse is so special as our experienced mounts easily navigate steep inclines, boggy fields, rocky paths, river crossings, tangles of vegetation and more. Bring the camera to capture the incredible scenery.
For more advanced riders, get out of the arena and challenge yourself on our cross country course! Covering over 20 acres, the cross country course presents a variety of obstacles, including water jumps, ditches, walls, drops and combinations, all over varied terrain. Bring your own horse or hire an experienced Irish hunter and enjoy! If riding lessons are desired, our qualified instructors can guide you in the large all-weather sand arena or on the cross country course. After your ride sip a hot tea or cool pint in our cosy restaurant, where we serve up organic food from our own garden. For your comfort, toilet, locker and changing facilities are available for all guests.
An eco-friendly centre, Slieve Aughty makes every effort to minimise our impact on the environment, from biodegradable cleaning agents to chemical free pasture management.
Established in 1986, Slieve Aughty Centre is AIRE (Association of Irish Riding Establishments) and Bord Failte, and BHS approved.

Located in the unspoiled North Tipperary uplands, Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre is an easy drive on the new M7 and M8 from the big cities. Our one and two hour off-road treks are through scenic mountain pastures filled with wildflowers and containing archaeological features from prehistoric times onwards, as well as a local legend or two. Our five and seven hour treks include a visit to a gourmet pub where both you and the horses will be fed and watered. Bring cameras because the views are spectacular on all our treks!
We give riding lessons for adults and children, focusing on building confidence and balance in the saddle and having fun. We have long-term and overnight livery facilities for horses. We train youngsters and problem horses and hold an ‘Outstanding Horsemanship' award from Irish Natural Horsemanship.
We provide residential horsemanship courses and riding holidays for novice and experienced riders using our on-site luxury farmhouse accommodation.
