Future for AIRE
AIRE is a forward-thinking organization and as such we are constantly reviewing how we operate to ensure we offer the best levels of help and assistance to all of our members. For the future, we intend to focus on the following:
Constantly raising standards - Continuation of inspection and approval systems in order to seek to gradually raise the standard of approval each year.
Regionalisation - Work to have our regions even more engaged in managing challenges and exploiting opportunities directly, particularly local issues, and to encourage the regions to develop conveniently located training programs for their own staff on a more local basis.
Development of Instructor Courses and liaison with FAS - The training of instructors in conjunction with FAS is progressing satisfactorily. It is the aim to continue this level of training and to develop a training program for the next level of instructor.
Categorisation of activities, New website, enhanced Marketing – Currently various activities on offer at approved establishments are noted on the Approvals Certificate and appear in all promotional publications. In this way clients can select the establishment most suited for their needs. We aim to extend this to all our members and to make better use of our website for visitors and members alike.
Relationship with Horse Sport Ireland – We enjoy a strong working relationship with many of the bodies we co-operate with, including Horse Sport Ireland and we will continually seek to build on these strong relationships for the benefit of all participants in equine activities in Ireland.
Towards a "single administrative body." - The trend in Irish Sport is towards the rationalization of administration driven by state funding requirements and equestrian sport with its various component parts is working towards a single administrative body. AIRE has been and will remain a part of this planning process while continuing to retain its autonomy in matters relating to inspection and approval.
