AIRE (Pronounced ‘ARA’) is the Association of Irish Riding Establishments, the body that regulates standards at riding schools and equestrian centres in Ireland. If you’re visiting Ireland on holidays/vacation or indeed if living in Ireland and interested in taking up horse-riding as a sport, use this website to find a riding establishment near you.
AIRE, with the sanction of the Irish Governments Department of Agriculture and Fáilte Ireland - the Irish Tourist Board, has responsibility for the inspection and registration of horse riding schools and establishments in Ireland.
All members listed on this website have been inspected and approved by the association. At time of inspection all the premises were operating at an acceptable level of competence and safety and their facilities were adequate for the stated activities. Safety for our members and their guests is of paramount importance.
AIRE members offer a wide choice of riding facilities catering for every rider, whether novice or experienced regardless of age. Most stables have ponies or horses available for trekking and riding out over the unspoilt Irish countryside, rugged mountains and forest trails, or along quiet sandy beaches.
